hi, im not sure were i should be posting this, but hopefully someone can help me.
i am a member of a games website (big fish). up until recently i have had no real problems downloading games.now when i try and play a game it tells me video mode not supported.
i have updated my video drivers from packard bell, installed direct x (9 i think) and changed the screen resolution from the lowest to the next highest to no avail. i have just installed windows service pack 2. anyone got any ideas it would be most appreciated.i dont want to start playing around too much in case i do some damage.i have a flat screen monitor.
i dont know whether this is connected but when i try and go on certain web sites (mainly genes reunited, trying to access my family tree) i get a message saying i/explorer has encountered a problem and must close. this happens everytime.
thanks in advance
ps ive just checked my screen resolution again. it has gone back to the lowest setting. when i tried to increase it, the same message came up "video mode not supported".

Hello brandyncoke; Welcome to GSF .

For starters, roll back your drivers to previous or original state ...sometimes even though there are updates, they do not work or are not necessary.

Let's see if that corrects the situation.
