I need help with my computer very badly. I don't know how it happened but after shutting my computer down; I can't get it to load back up. It just stays stuck on the "Windows is Starting Up" screen. I've put in my Windows XP CD and all that did was install a second Windows XP Home Edition on my computer. However with this, I'm still unable to access all of my pictures and music from the original Windows XP Home Edition on the computer. I'm trying all I can and am really freaked out, can someone help me out with this???

THANK YOU!!!! :)

Hello starkisses101

inserting the Windows XP install CD directely after such a fault is not the best step. Did you ever tried instead to get into the Safe Mode menue pressing F8 til you're in? And then choosing "Last known good configuration" or something named like that?

What was the result? Please tell us more.

Btw. Can you remember what was the last action you did on that computer before you noticed that error?
